EC3 is a worldwide unique bridging technology of near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and industrial image processing. This open, industrial, real-time system provides hyperspectral imaging data displayed as chemical colors. These chemical colors are not a classification but a HSV interpretation of chemical and physical properties of interest and can consequently be processed by industrial image processing methods.
The transformation to HSV of 80.000 spatial resolved spectra per second, with 316 data points at each spectrum, are inline processed by mathematical and statistical methods by the camera. Thereby the transformation algorithm can be easily adapted to numerous applications by the intuitive operable configuration tool “EC3 Config”.
Once the system is configured it can be integrated like a standard color line scan camera via a GigE Vision interface.
