Epix, Inc. Product

The PIXCI® e104x4 transfers to motherboard memory at 20 gigabits per second from more than 1000 camera link cameras. The PIXCI® e104x4 DMA transfers images to the motherboard memory at burst rates of up to 20 gigabits per second. It captures from one or two base, medium, or full camera link cameras and from up to four base camera link cameras. Both area scan and line scan cameras are supported with triggered capture or free run modes of operation. Two on-board headers allow connection of trigger inputs, strobe outputs, and other I/O signals. Programmable controls for camera integration times and asynchronous reset are included. Shipped with the PIXCI e104x4 is our XCAP-Lite imaging program which allows quick image capture, save, and viewing of image details. Other versions of XCAP are available for specific image processing or image transfer requirements. Epix’ XCLIB library can be used to create user specific imaging software and can also use our PXIPL image processing library which run under Windows or Linux operating systems in 32-bit or 64-bit modes.
The PIXCI® e104x4 is a type 1 bottom-stacking PCIe/104x4 Gen 2.0 interface. It supports 64-bit memory addressing. The size of the PIXCI® e104x4 is 4.55 inch by 3.775 inch size (11.56 cm by 9.59 cm). The PCI104e bus expands without a backplane or card cage and uses rugged connectors. Four corner mounting holes use standoffs to securely mount to the processor motherboard and to other boards in the stack. Industrial temperature range parts are used for applications such as: airborne, automotive, borehole, industrial, mobile, military, and underwater. The PIXCI® e104x4 is $1895 with XCAP-Lite imaging program.
