Dynalog calibration software is also used in robotic flexible measurement systems (FMS), as well as other precision robotic applications, where robot positional accuracy is required. Dynalog's AutoCal system offers an in-line robot calibration solution designed to quickly and automatically garantee the performance of robotic equipment. The AutoCal can detect drift or sudden changes to the robot structure or the TCP, and automatically corrects for those changes without operator intervention.
The AutoCal system relies on automatic measurements taken at the tip of the tool (TCP). Between production cycles, the robot automatically executes a "Quick Check" measurement routine to assess the overal system performance. It will detect any drift or crash of the TCP and the automatically make correction through the AutoCal system's "Recovery Calibration". Before resuming production, the system confirms the accuracy to ensure consistent quality and process control.
