The Profisafe Safety Over IO-Link I/O module enables bringing safety and standard I/O together to provide a more functional, flexible and modular solution for automation. This technology utilizes the Profisafe black channel tunneling principle combined with Profinet and IO-Link . With IP67 machine mount design the I/O hub can be mounted closer to the safety devices - to help reduce cable runs and connectorize the solution to significantly shorten integration time for safety. M12 5- and 8-pin connectors allow easy connection of devices such as safety light curtains, E-stops, inductive safety sensors and safety door switches. The module has TÜV SUD certifcation ensuring compliance with IEC61508 for Safety Integrity Level (SIL 3), and EN ISO13849 achievable performance level (PL e).
