Medium Duty Two-Stage Wheel Drive
The STORM 500 is a medium duty wheel drive featuring a two-stage gear reduction with ball bearings on the output shafts. The rugged die-cast housing design and the completely sealed drive system make it suited for outdoor use. It provides the maximum torque density at a low noise output, thanks to helical gearing and close tolerance parts, and can be outfitted with an IP-rated silicone boot to protect drive electronics from direct exposure to the elements. Available options include brushed or brushless DC motors, hub-locking differential wheels, encoders and static (power-off) brakes.
