Bosch Rexroth will showcase complete Factory Automation solutions at Automate 2024

POSTED 04/11/2024

Our factory automation portfolio offers a comprehensive array of solutions that go beyond merely advanced components. It includes digital engineering tools and personalized support aimed at helping you tackle even the most complex engineering challenges.

Step into our booth and experience interactive exhibits and live demonstrations of working systems. Among the highlights is our Flexible Transport System (FTS), combining precision and speed like never before, while integrating a Kassow collaborative robot. Other demos include:

  • ctrlX AUTOMATION
  • Smart Conveyance Demo
  • NEXO annd OPEX tightening systems

Our team of factory automation specialists will be on hand to provide invaluable insights and guidance on crafting effective strategies for complete factory automation solutions. Count on our experts to offer innovative approaches, ensuring that you leave equipped with smarter and more productive solutions. That’s Factory Automation - the way it should be.

Key booth demos and highlights include:

ctrlX AUTOMATION: This unique, four-sided demo illustrates the modularity and scalability of ctrlX AUTOMATION while presenting an overview of ctrlX DRIVE and ctrlX CORE hardware capabilities. On display is a three-axis ctrlX DRIVE linked to a ctrlX CORE industrial PC running in real-time. Other components, such as ctrlX IO, ctrlX HMI and the MS2N synchronous motor, are also included. In addition, the exhibit demonstrates how ctrlX CORE supports modern languages for today’s industrial machinery, such as Java, Python and Node Red, plus many other application-appropriate languages.

Flexible Transport System (FTS): The Flexible Transport System is combined with the TS2 to create a fast, precise and flexible conveyor system. The linear motor driven FTS section allows high speed positioning of workpiece pallets with bi-directional, synchronous, or asynchronous moves. The FTS is integrated with a lightweight and maneuverable Kassow Robot.

Smart Conveyance Demo: This conveyor demo showcases Rexroth's diverse technologies, featuring our unique aluminum structural framing and TS2 plus palletized assembly conveyor for assembly solutions. Compact modules use three linear axes to form a Cartesian robot, automating assembly with Rexroth's linear motion components. The cabinet-free system, powered by IndraDrive Mi from our automation solutions, is controlled by a Rexroth XM22 PLC with Safety PLC, Safe Torque, and Safe Motion. The system also employs an open PLC platform with versatile communication capabilities.

Smart Function Kit for Handling: Bosch Rexroth’s Smart Function Kit for Handling is an innovative preassembled multi-axis robot made up of tailored, standardized modules and components, which can be put together quickly to form smart subsystems. Simply select and adapt the basic type online, configure and order it, and commission it with software guidance.

Rexroth’s best-in-class components can be used to create smart mechatronics solutions for the Factory of the Future, with minimal use of resources.

Tightening Technology: Experience a whole new world of tightening technology and demo the latest additions to Bosch Rexroth’s tightening system portfolio, the new NEXO nutrunner and the OPEX digital torque wrench. These tightening systems seamlessly integrate into conveying systems, aluminum framing workstations, and more and incorporates the complete control directly inside the device, while keeping its sleek, cordless design.
