Rotary Air Bearings and Motorized Air Bearing Rotation Stages

Rotary Air Bearings provide High Precision Motion with Minimal Eccentricity and Wobble. The rotary air bearing on the left is non motorized – its low friction is apparent from the long time it keeps spinning. The smaller A-623 rotary air bearing stage on the right is equipped with a torque motor and high resolution encoder (0.024µrad). It is driven by an PI / ACS motion controller.
