Product labeling with fully programmable SMAC Moving Coil Actuators is a cost competitive replacement for pneumatics. A patented Soft-Land ability allows the actuator rod (or gripper jaw) to land on the surface of the package with a low programmed force. It gives extremely accurate sensing of product location and/or dimensions. This is particularly useful for handling delicate or high value components or packages.
