WINSYSTEMS Introduces SBC35-474 Rugged SBC for Industrial Edge Computing
Grand Prairie, Texas — July 15, 2026 — WINSYSTEMS today announced the SBC35-474, a rugged 3.5-inch single board computer (SBC) built on Intel® Atom® x7000RE Series (Amston Lake) processors. Designed for industrial OEMs, system integrators, and critical infrastructure operators, the SBC35-474 combines scalable processing performance, extensive I/O and expansion options, and long-term product availability in a compact, fanless platform engineered for reliable operation in demanding edge environments.
Available with Intel® Atom® x7211RE, x7433RE, and x7835RE processor options, the SBC35-474 scales from dual-core to eight-core performance with processor frequencies up to 3.6 GHz and integrated Intel® UHD Graphics featuring 16 execution units. The platform enables designers to match computing performance to application requirements while maintaining low power consumption and fanless operation. Engineered for harsh industrial environments, it supports an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and includes three M.2 expansion sockets for wireless connectivity, storage, AI accelerators, and other application-specific peripherals.
Industrial Edge SBC Engineered for Intelligent Industrial Systems
Modern industrial applications increasingly require local processing, AI acceleration, high-speed networking, and hardware security. The SBC35-474 delivers these capabilities with:
- Intel Atom® x7000RE processors with integrated graphics and AI-acceleration capabilities
- DDR5 memory support
- Dual 2.5 GbE ports
- TPM 2.0 hardware security
- Triple-display support
- Three M.2 expansion sockets
- Windows 11 IoT and Ubuntu Linux support
These capabilities make the SBC35-474 well suited for applications including industrial automation, machine control, machine vision, transportation systems, communications gateways, remote monitoring, and smart infrastructure.
Helping Project Managers Reduce Risk and Improve Lifecycle Planning
Beyond technical performance, embedded projects demand predictable product availability, faster development, and lower lifecycle costs.
To support these goals, the SBC35-474 is backed by:
- A projected 10+ year product lifecycle
- US-based manufacturing for supply chain continuity and domestic sourcing initiatives
- Industrial-grade operating temperature range
- Fanless architecture for improved system reliability
- Flexible M.2 expansion for application-specific customization
- Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) platform that helps reduce development effort and accelerate time-to-market
Together, these capabilities help OEMs and system developers reduce redesign risk, improve supply chain resilience, lower qualification costs, simplify long-term field maintenance, and extend platform longevity.
