MISUMI Opens New Facility In Dayton Ohio
MISUMI is proud to announce the new facility in Dayton, Ohio. The new 55,000 sq ft automated facility officially launched on November 2nd, 2020. The Ohio location echoes MISUMI’s QCT model of Quality, Cost, and Time by providing shorter lead times and local manufacturing.
The state-of-the-art facility has a modern and efficient warehouse layout for minimal movement and handling of materials. This is accomplished by utilizing significant levels of automation to ensure optimal warehouse practices and reducing human error. The facility also includes a high bay area for maximum storage capacity.
MISUMI has implemented visual and optical scanning processes to ensure the right parts and quantities are selected in an efficient manner for every order. “This new distribution center is a key component of delivering a large variety of stock items” said Louis Bacigalupo, VP of Supply Chain Management at MISUMI. “This will also improve the delivery of made-to-order configurable components in short lead time to our customers.”
