Elmo's Motion Control – Making Smart Machines Smarter
![]() |
Elmo Motion Control will showcase its newest technology at IMTS 2018, including the miniature servo drive – Double Gold Twitter and the advanced multi axis motion controller of up to 256 axes – Platinum Maestro, suiting the most demanding applications in the era of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.
The new Double Gold Twitter is among the smallest STO-certified (SIL-3) servo drives on the market, delivering over 10,000w of qualitative power, weight only 1.2oz, with continuous currents of up to 160A (80V) and 140A (100V).
This miniature drive can be placed on a moving load, or within the motor, helping engineers save space, improve machine performance, reduce cables, and eliminate electrical cabinets, while delivering unprecedented amounts of power to the motor.
Elmo will also be presenting its idea on the topic of smart factories, through the presentation of “The Paradox of Smart Manufacturing”, which will be held in room W196-A on Tuesday, September 11th, 3:15-4:10pm. The presentation will dive into today’s age of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0, and how companies are faced with the paradox of achieving improved quality and flexibility, while at the same time increasing throughputs at reduced costs.
