The B3 Servo system offers optimized performance: it features elevated response bandwidth at 3.1 KHz, a huge step above the previous generation. The settling time is decreased by 40%. The latest optical encoder on the ECM-B3 motors has a 24-bit resolution, 128 times greater than previously available. Additionally, the motor length has been reduced by 30% compared to the ECMA series of servo motors. Depending on the part number and series, the motor’s RPM reaches 6,000 rpm max, and the peak torque is increased to 3.5 times its rating. (peak torque 3.5x rated)

The B3 Servo system is also stable and efficient: it features high-speed networks such as EtherCAT for axis synchronization and excellent gantry control. There is also analog feedback PID control, real-time precision control, continuous sensing and adjustment, and low cogging torque with 50% less ripple than the previous generation. In addition, its PR mode boasts 99 paths (procedures). With all of that, the B3 servo system supports all motors with high, medium, and low inertia.
