ADVANCED Motion Controls® releases the FE060-25-CM

POSTED 12/08/2020

The FE060-25-CM is a micro-sized PCB mount servo drive now available for purchase from ADVANCED Motion Controls®. Rated to output 25A continuous and 50A peak, this feature-filled digital servo drive is our highest power-density model.  The high power-density comes from using miniaturized components combined with the PCB-Mount form-factor.  PCB-Mount servo drives are installed directly into the machine’s PCB without any external connectors or cabling, giving system designers direct control over layout, connector selection, connector placement and number of axes.  The mounting footprint of the FE060-25-CM is 38.1mm x 25.4mm with an installed height of 12mm making it possible for up to 4 units to be mounted within the footprint of a standard business card!

The FE060-25-CM adds CANopen network communication capabilities to the FlexPro® family of servo drives in addition to EtherCAT which has already been available since FlexPro® first launched.  Along with this release are two lower current options, the FE060-10-CM rated to 10A continuous and FE060-5-EM rated to 5A continuous, designed to the same dimensions.

Features include:

  • 38.1 x 25.4 x 22 mm (1.5 x 1 x 0.85 in)
  • 10-55 VDC input
  • 25 A continuous, 50 A peak for FE060-25-CM
  • 10 A continuous, 20 A peak for FE060-10-CM
  • 5 A continuous, 10 A peak for FE060-5-CM
  • Incremental encoder and BISS C-mode feedback
  • Torque, velocity, and position operating modes
  • Configuration and full loop tuning

Projected Industries & Applications:
The small size of the FE drives makes them perfect for cobots (collaborative robots), AGVs, portable devices, lab and warehouse automation, military equipment, and any other integrated design.

About FlexPro™
