Understanding various types of markets/applications will further allow him to bring the voice of the customer to our discussions about future directions/decisions our industry is heading and how that correlates to our associations focus and goals. He will further support the growth of Motion Control & Motors Technology Strategy Board by actively promoting the A3 Association and tech board both internally to our the company and externally to our partners and other organizations that can continue to help us all grow in value from their input to all our members.

This long application history and direct connection with customers allows him to provide content and strategy to the A3 board to enable A3 members in their journey.

He has offered valuable insights into a growing list of industry contributors. Max is passionate about the transformative impact of motion control and automation on human and social development. His hands-on experience with many motion platforms’ work, challenges, specifications, planning, and trends ensures that he can offer practical insights into applying these technologies in various industrial settings and grow the influence of the association and promotions. This technical prowess, combined with his theoretical knowledge and proven leadership in driving project success and innovation, will enable him to contribute to the board's governance, decision-making, and planning capabilities. Additionally, Atef's engineering education with a Ph.D. in motion control and robotics, four patents, and more than fifteen publications highlight his commitment to advancing the field and fostering innovation.

He would bring very broad functional experience to the Board, having worked multiple years in business strategy, product management/marketing, sales/business development, finance/accounting and executive leadership. Tom can also provide a deep perspective to the Board on current “hot” topics such as Smart Manufacturing/IIoT, condition monitoring (especially for motion applications), position/presence detection, human-machine collaboration, traceability and networking - he has presented and written extensively on these topics at Automate/conferences, on webinars and in industry journals and blogs.
