Realizing the efficiency and power of actually applying AMRs in an industrial setting is so exciting. This is a story beautifully told by A3 member, OTTO Motors. They helped one of their customers transform their workday and increase their output. We love hearing how our members are solving problems through automation. But Mouser values innovation because they want to be the leader in the plastics manufacturing industry. We manufacture pails, lids from 1-gallon to 13-gallon. We service a lot of different industries, and some of the customers that put a lot of food product into the pails OTTO came into our mind because of the safety concerns that we had in the past.
Finding people was very difficult because we were a 24 over seven operation when the OTTO was first introduced to the Langley facility. It was the first step for us to get into something probably nobody has ever done before. The OTTO arrives to the station, connects with the pack station and transfer the package onto it, and then drives back to the drop off station, where transfer is on to the wrapper, strap or line.
When we introduced the OTTOs, we didn't have to worry about people getting hurt for the last few years. It came apparent to us that you know how important that was.
