Deeply Supplies Industrial AI Sound Analysis Solution ‘Listen AI’ to Hyosung Electric

Sound AI solution company Deeply announced on the 10th that it has supplied its industrial AI sound analysis solution, Listen AI Industrial, to Hyosung Electric, a global motor manufacturer.

Deeply is a specialized acoustic and noise analysis company that uses independently developed nonverbal AI sound analysis technology to identify and manage safety through sound in both industrial settings and everyday life. In manufacturing, the company provides Listen AI Industrial, a solution that analyzes the operating sounds of finished components to inspect quality and analyzes assembly sounds to determine whether parts were correctly assembled.

Hyosung Electric is a global motor manufacturer specializing in automotive motors. In particular, it holds the world’s top market share in blower motors used in vehicle air conditioning systems. To further strengthen its competitiveness in automotive actuators and motor production, Hyosung Electric is currently building a new plant on a site of about 9,000 pyeong.

Hyosung Electric introduced the Listen AI solution across its entire line for automotive electric actuator production. Listen AI Industrial is an AI sound analysis solution that automates quality inspection for industrial components such as actuators, motors, and gears. By using AI technology to identify subtle differences in operating sounds generated by actuators and motors, it distinguishes good products from defective ones.

Because electric actuators responsible for vehicle control functions are directly linked to driver safety and product quality, they require strict quality management. Traditionally, factories operated large-scale sound inspection lines where workers listened to parts one by one and judged quality by ear. Now, however, the process is gradually changing as AI solutions trained on hundreds of thousands of sound samples provide improved inspection accuracy.

Listen AI was trained on 300,000 motor sound samples and demonstrated more than 99% effectiveness after one month of mass-production line testing. It also contributes to process automation by increasing inspection speed. Unlike the previous method, in which products had to be moved to an inspection room for quality checks, the solution can be deployed directly on the production line, allowing quality inspection to take place immediately after production.
