Industrial Mobile Robot Safety Training Syllabus
Course Description: This course reviews the safety requirements for design, manufacture, and integration of Industrial Mobile Robots and Industrial Mobile Robot Systems.
Methodology: Using narrated visual presentations, inform the students of the essential information contained in the current ANSI/RIA R15.08-2020 Industrial Mobile Robot Safety Standard.
Objectives:
Students will be introduced to:
- Basic safety guidelines for mobile robotic applications
- Different types of IMRs
- The key elements of the mobile robot safety standard
- Roles of the manufacturer, integrator, and user
- The process for hazard identification and risk assessment
- Special considerations for risk assessment with IMRs / systems
- The challenges and implications when interfacing IMRs with existing equipment
