Pulsar 320 Flexible, yet Powerful Strobe Controller

POSTED 12/21/2009

v>Pulsar 320 - Ai’s compact, high power strobe controller
Pulsar 320 compact, high power strobe controllerThe Pulsar 320 is Advanced illumination’s (Ai) new compact, high output, strobe only controller, designed for use in a wide variety of high-performance, timing critical operations.  Capable of providing up to 50A of output through each of its 2 channels, the unit has a maximum internally-generated flash rate of 400Hz.  The Pulsar 320 may be driven remotely with the built-in Ethernet IP interface, or locally with a host computer via USB2.
The Pulsar 320 housing is compact ~ 5” x 3” x 4” - and includes a rear bracket for DIN rail mounting, as well as top and bottom M6 nut-channels.  For convenience, all controls and inputs are on the front of the unit.
Strobing is used to freeze motion in high-speed inspections by creating a short burst of intense light during the camera’s short exposure period.  Increasing light intensity by overdriving the LEDs provides sufficient illumination for the vision system, and safely extends the real-time life of the LED.
