This large overhead gantry is an excellent example of how item North America can design structural support, linear motion, and safety hard guarding into a single comprehensive mechanical design. This particular overhead gantry features twin 85-foot, belt-driven linear actuators, synchronized electronically, extending the entire length of the structure. Additionally, the overhead gantry contains eight horizontal linear actuators that are synchronized mechanically and driven by a single motor.
