What to expect from OCTOPUZ at Automate 2019

POSTED 04/08/2019

OCTOPUZ has announced it will have two live robotic cell demonstrations to showcase its offline programming and simulation software at the Automate tradeshow taking place at the McCormick Place in Chicago from April 8th to 11th. One system involves a KUKA robot programmed to perform a deburring application on a hockey helmet. The second system features a Yaskawa Motoman robot loaded with a welding program for an automotive rim.

OCTOPUZ is an offline robot programming and simulation software that enables manufacturers to take their programming away from the teach pendant to a virtual world to design systems, revise concepts, and program from the comfort of a platform that will solve for errors (singularities, collisions, joint limits, etc...).

“This year we are highlighting OCTOPUZ PathFinder, which automatically identifies AND solves limits and errors within the program, including: singularities, collisions, joint limits and other errors. This new feature set, within the latest release of OCTOPUZ (Version 2.1), enables our users to spend more time manufacturing and less time programming. Attendees can get a demo of OCTOPUZ PathFinder by visiting us at N8520 during the event.” - Rob House, Co-CEO of OCTOPUZ Inc.
