New Infrared Technologies Product
CLAMIR is a control system for metal 3D printing using L-DED (Laser Metal Deposition LMD, or laser cladding) which improves the process' performance and enhances the quality of the produced parts
CLOSED-LOOP LASER POWER CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CLADDING AND LASER METAL DEPOSITION PROCESSES
CLAMIR is a process control system for L-DED Additive Manufacturing processes that measures and maintains the melt pool geometry through a closed-loop control of the laser power using a 1,000 image per second MWIR camera, avoiding overheating of the part under process and allowing a continuous and high-quality manufacturing process.
The use of CLAMIR reduces rates of defective parts, material use and energy than uncontrolled processes. It can also help to optimize the process and improve the productivity.
