ActiveDcam is a universal SDK designed to provide developers with a rapid access to 1394 IIDC-compliant digital cameras. Just drop an ActiveDcam control onto the surface of your application and have it immediately support multiple FireWire cameras. With ActiveDcam your application does not have to rely on a specific camera model - any GigE Vision compliant camera will work with it out-of-the-box in any popular development environment, such as C++, C#, VB6, VB.NET, Delphi, Java, PowerBuilder, Matlab, Python and Adobe Flash - both on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows platforms.
ActiveDcam offers comprehensive property dialogs with full control over DCAM camera features, multicast support, instant access to image buffers and pixels, real-time image processing, color overlays of graphics and text, image flipping and rotation, histogram and statistical calculations, built-in background correction, real-time frame averaging/integration, time-lapse AVI 2.0 recording with selectable compression, display synchronization and anti-tearing, DVR support and many more .
