Vision Show is Stage for IDS Introductions
POSTED 08/17/2012
WOBURN, MA -- IDS Imaging Development Systems, a global leader in medical and machine vision, will showcase its latest innovations at the 25th annual VISION tradeshow in Stuttgart, Germany, November 6-8, 2012. IDS will be in Hall 1, Booth D72.
Headlining the introductions will be three new USB 3 uEye™ CP cameras boasting sensors from e2v and CMOSIS. IDS is the first manufacturer to integrate e2v's 2 Megapixel Global Shutter sensor (EV76C570) into a USB 3.0 industrial camera. A real CCD replacement, the UI-3250CP camera delivers outstanding image quality and high sensitivity. At 60 frames per second at full resolution, the camera is ideal for applications that require fast yet detailed analysis.
CMOSIS 2 Megapixel (CMV2000) and 4 Megapixel (CMV4000) sensors are integrated into USB 3.0 camera models UI-3360COP and UI-3370CP for high performance at outstanding speed. Both run at 180 fps and 90 fps and are ideal for applications such as traffic monitoring and inspections within the pharmaceutical, beverage and glass industry. Eight AOIs and multiple HDR modes for up to 90 db allow implementing even the most demanding applications.
Another highlight are the new series of uEye cameras fitted with a 1.3 Megapixel Global Shutter HDR sensor from NIT New Imaging Technologies. Due to its logarithmic characteristic it easily adapts to a great variety of lighting conditions and offers crystal clear images even in high dynamic scenes of up to 140 db. As a result, the new camera models are ideal for applications that require fast frame rates, high sensitivity and excellent dynamic range.
Finally, IDS will be launching its UI-1240ML, a new USB 2.0 camera that is compact, extremely robust and yet lightweight, making it particularly well-suited for space limited applications. Its lockable USB connector and metal casing ensure secure operation even in extreme industrial environments, such as metal processing, robotics, electrical and medical engineering. The camera also features an 8-pin Hirose connector (HR25), offering two GPIOs and optically decoupled trigger and flash I/Os. It is fitted with the sophisticated 1.3 Megapixel CMOS sensor from e2v. The sensor is available in color, mono and NIR versions, plus offers Log-Mode, Linescan-Mode, four Shutter-Modes and delivers 25 fps at full resolution.
ABOUT IDS
IDS is a leading manufacturer of digital industrial cameras and frame grabbers. The company was founded by two engineers in 1997. Their mission then and now is to develop, manufacture and distribute industrial grade imaging components with an excellent price/performance ratio and maximum ease of use. IDS is internationally represented by a subsidiary in the USA and through a network of distributors in almost all European and Asian countries. About half of IDS employees are engineers in hardware and software development as well as applications engineering. IDS customers include OEMs, system integrators and manufacturers in the industrial, security, scientific and medical industries. Over 250,000 IDS frame grabbers and 180,000 USB and GigE uEye cameras are in use worldwide today.
