Stäubli Robotics Joins Lanco Integrated to Illustrate Turnkey Automated Systems

POSTED 10/07/2019

At the Assembly Show, Stäubli and Lanco Integrated will present innovations for assembly applications

Rosemont, IL – Stäubli, a global manufacturer of robotics systems, will be teaming up with Lanco Integrated, a desisgner and manufacturer of high-performance turnkey automated assembly and test systems, at The Assembly Show (booth #1113). The show takes place Oct. 22-24 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

The manufacture of medical devices is one of the most sensitive areas in manufacturing. Reliable control of all production steps while adhering to the strictest aseptic hygienic standards is one of the key requirements in the medical sector. With its specialized robotic arms, Stäubli brings unique expertise to all medical device manufacturing operations, from deburring and polishing the surfaces of orthopedic implants, to injection molding medical components, to the assembly and packaging of medical and optical instruments, including blood pressure monitors, inhalers, pacemakers, IV bags and more.

At Assembly, Stäubli Robotics and Lanco Integrated will illustrate the assembly of medical devices in a turnkey automated system. Within this system, a Stäubli TX2 Stericlean six-axis robot arm will be assembling medical syringes. With this fully encapsulated design, this turnkey solution is suitable for cleanroom operations, making Stäubli collaborative robots the first choice for medical technology systems of this kind.

“We chose the Stäubli TX2-60 Stericlean, a compact 6-axis machine, because it guarantees repeatability, flexibility, accuracy and speed,” said Matt Bresnahan, VP of Global Sales. Lanco Integrated.

Lanco Integrated is one of the world's most experienced designers and manufacturers of turnkey automated assembly and test systems. From concept to design through manufacturing and after-sales service, Lanco covers the globe with reliable, innovative products and high-quality service.

At Assembly, Stäubli Robotics will demonstrate an example application of medical device sub-component production and showcase a variety of other solutions for turnkey automated systems. In addition to the Lanco Integrated live Cam platform, Stäubli also will showcase a TX-2 robotic arm that is often incorporated into flexible feeding systems.
