SICK Launches New BCG EcoLine Wire Draw Encoders for Distance Measurement Applications
POSTED 02/04/2010
Analog output, compact housing and affordable price save time and money
Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 04, 2010 – SICK (www.sickusa.com), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sensors, safety systems, machine vision, and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation, today announced the launch of its BCG EcoLine Wire Draw Encoders. The BCG is an economical distance measurement solution with a scalable analog output (4-20mA or 0-10V) that easily interfaces with control systems. It includes a variety of easy-to-use features, including a pushbutton teach that allows users to configure the unit for different lengths – simplifying setup and saving time.
This BCG is enclosed in a thin, compact housing, making it ideal for applications with limited installation space. The BCG offers two versions of standalone MRA-F Wire Draw Mechanisms that, when combined with SICK’s existing encoder portfolio, give users advanced customization capabilities. Plus, its precise measurements are ideal for a variety of markets, including mobile vehicle, automotive, medical, ASRS and general manufacturing.
