Re-shoring of American Jobs

POSTED 06/29/2011

v style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">In his last State of the Union address President Obama called on the nation to “out-innovate, out-educate and out-build” its rivals. Advisers to the president have warned that the U.S. is in peril of losing its ability to innovate along with the corporate exodus to low-wage nations. Now he backs a $500 million Advanced Manufacturing Partnership featuring $70 million for a National Robotics Initiative and RIA applauds this development.
Meanwhile, examples of re-shoring are building in the popular press, and we’ve seen many examples of the role robotics plays in this phenomenon. A recent article on MSNBC inspired a new blog from Brian Huse, RIA’s Director, Marketing & PR. We invite you to get in the conversation – leave your comments on the blog, won’t you, please? Thanks in advance.
