Rapyuta Robotics Wins New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization Chairman’s Award (NEDO Chairman’s Award)
Rapyuta Robotics is honored to announce that it has won the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization Chairman’s Award (NEDO Chairman’s Award) at the University Venture Awards 2021, organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
“Rapyuta Robotics was chosen for this award due to their tireless commitment to consumer needs and safety in the logistics field. Their ability to provide reliable, flexible hardware and software robotics solutions delivers efficient outcomes to the global logistics market,” said Hiroaki Ishizuka, President, NEDO.
Rapyuta Robotics, is the maker of the world’s first all in one cloud robotics platform and lightweight, intelligent, collaborative robots. They provide agnostic and cost-effective automation solutions for both software providers and end users utilizing an open source toolkit.

NEDO is a national research and development agency that creates innovation by promoting technological development necessary for the realization of a sustainable society in Japan. NEDO acts as an innovation accelerator to contribute to the resolution of social issues by developing and demonstrating high-risk innovative technologies with practical application.

The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) launched the “University Venture Award” in 2014. The awards are given to outstanding university-launched ventures that are expected to play an active role in the future, and to universities and companies that have contributed to the growth of such ventures. The purpose of this award is to support and promote the efforts of university-launched ventures that use the results of university research and development.
