POSTED 10/01/2013
Known since 1994 for advancing the technology of manufacturing, Radix plans to advance its business through its expansion into a brand new, 17,000 square foot facility in Tecumseh. Today, Radix completed the move into a state of the art building at 5140 8th concession, capping off a "make-over" year for this innovative firm.
Radix kicked off the make-over year profiled on CBC Television’s business reality show "The Big Decision". Celebrity investor & superstar Jim Treliving paired up with Radix, supporting the firm through a branding revamp. A change in name from "Radix Controls" to simply "Radix" along with a logo re-design started these innovators on a re-branding path.
Also during 2013, Radix added competency & strength to their service & product offerings to customers like Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Mars Foods and Accucaps, by successfully completing certification and acceptance into partner programs with industrial powerhouse Siemens as well as with Omron & Keyence. This adds to Radix’s long-standing certification with machine vision experts Cognex Corp. & ABB Robotics and membership in the independent software vendor program with the Microsoft Partner Network.
With the move to 5140 8th concession in Tecumseh, Radix has re-affirmed their commitment to the Windsor-Essex region. Ross Rawlings, President & CEO of Radix notes “Ease of access to the manufacturing heartland of Canada as well as the US market and availability of highly skilled engineers, software developers and trades have been significant influences on our decision to remain in Windsor-Essex”. He continues “We are very excited to be in this remarkable facility, which not only almost doubled our capacity but also allowed us to design a workplace conducive to creative, collaborative team work – a hallmark of the Radix team.”
Radix specializes in advanced technology solutions for industrial applications and automation. In 2007, Radix was recognized by PROFIT magazine’s annual ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. Radix has installed technology-based automation solutions and systems at manufacturers in Canada, the USA & Mexico since 1994.
