Piab to Launch New Suction Cup at PACK EXPO 2010

Piab to feature technologies to boost energy efficiency and productivity at PACK EXPO International 2010

Hingham, MA, USA – At PACK EXPO International 2010, Piab will launch its new suction cup designed to improve the operational flexibility, speed and energy efficiency of packaging lines. Based on Piab’s advanced vacuum technology, the suction cup can be tailored to handle a variety of products and fit with a number of packaging machines, including robotic arms, rotary cartoners, labelling machines and carton erectors, whereas traditional grippers can only be used for a limited number of applications. It also features superior suction grip and recycled materials to promote sustainability. The new suction cup will be on display at Piab’s booth (N-4620) at PACK EXPO International, October 31-November 3 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, USA.

To further support manufacturers in their focus on energy efficiency and productivity, Piab will also showcase its new piINLINE™ range of inline vacuum ejectors at PACK EXPO International. Based on COAX® technology, the piINLINE range offers good vacuum flow and enables reliable gripping, lifting and moving of objects for reduced line downtime. piINLINE solutions are more eco-friendly than single-stage ejectors, with the smallest model using 50 percent less energy on average than comparable products.
