MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – American engineers unable to travel to Germany for the Hanover Fair (Hannover Messe) can stay up-to-date with the latest news from the world’s largest industrial tradeshow. For the fourth consecutive year, Phoenix Contact will present daily video reports featuring customer and employee interviews, product launches and other news from the show.
Every year, Phoenix Contact introduces several new innovations at the Hanover Fair. In addition, the booth will showcase solutions with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, including photovoltaics, wind energy, smart energy distribution and e-mobility. The company’s theme for the show, “Solutions for the Future,” emphasizes the importance of encouraging young people to consider engineering and technology careers.
Fitting with that theme, Phoenix Contact USA is hosting two groups of American students at this year’s show. A team from Infinity Charter School won the U.S. version of the Nanoline Contest, and students from Central Dauphin High School won the “Education” category of the international xplore New Automation Competition. Both teams designed and built automation projects involving renewable energy.
