Optonet Master+ Students Visit AVT HQ in Stadtroda
POSTED 10/01/2012
For
the second year in a row, students from the Jena area (Germany) visited AVT’s production site in Stadtroda as part of the Optonet Master+ program.
OptoNet is a network of 95 companies, universities and institutions involved in optical technologies. The network is located in the German region of Thuringia, which has a long tradition and expertise in that field. One of OptoNet’s activities is to support the education and training of new talents from various university courses. The OptoNet MASTER+ program gives selected students the opportunity to learn more about vision technology and applications: They attend to conferences, visit company facilities (“Mastertour”), meet experts and work on projects.
As an Optonet member, Allied vision Technologies welcomed a group of 9 students in Stadtroda on September 21, 2012. After a company presentation and a technical case study, the group discovered a camera demo simulating traffic applications (automatic license plate recognition) and visited the production and quality control departments. Finally they listened to a presentation of an external recruitment consultant about and enjoyed a joint dinner sponsored by AVT.
