Nominees Sought for RIA Board of Directors

POSTED 11/03/2014

Nominees are sought for the 2015-16 RIA Board of Directors.  The RIA membership will elect candidates from the robot and component supplier, user, researcher, and system integrator segments this year. Board members are expected to attend up to four Board meetings each year – for full details on the responsibilities of a board member, click here.

“The success of RIA is directly attributable to the outstanding strategic guidance from the RIA Board over the years,” said Jeff Burnstein, President of RIA.  “Our Directors have always operated in a ‘leave your logo’ at the door spirit of collaboration in order to makes sure that RIA develops programs that serve the broad interests of the robotics community.  Recently, RIA reached a record number of members, a strong indicator that our programs are being well received by the industry at large,” Burnstein said.

Please nominate worthy candidates by December 1, 2014 using the official nomination form.  The newly-elected Directors will take office following the A3 Business Forum in Orlando, January 21-23, 2015.

Up to two candidates per open seat will be listed on the Board ballot.  Should there be more nominees than available spots on the ballot, the RIA Board will determine which candidates will be on the final ballot.

Questions about the election process or requirements of a board member should be directed to Jeff Burnstein at 734/994-6088 or [email protected].
