New Prometheus & Hyperion USB 3.0 Camera Lines

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – PixeLINK®, a global provider of industrial cameras for the machine vision and microscopy markets, today announced the release of its Prometheus and Hyperion USB 3.0 camera lines. Complementing the company’s existing custom and OEM cameras, PixeLINK’s Prometheus and Hyperion USB 3.0 cameras ensure fast image delivery at the highest resolutions.

Prometheus Camera Line
Providing resolutions from 1.3 to 5.3 megapixels, the Prometheus USB 3.0 Global Shutter CMOS cameras offer image quality that rivals CCD sensors at very high frame rates. Current Prometheus camera models include the PL-D721 (1.3 MP), PL-D722 (2.3 MP), and PL-D725 (5.3MP).

Hyperion Camera Line
With 5.0 to 6.0 megapixel resolution, Hyperion USB 3.0 CMOS cameras are designed for organizations looking to leverage the benefits of USB while maintaining existing frame rates and resolutions. Current Hyperion camera models include the PL-D775 (5.0 MP) and the PL-D726 (6.6 MP).

As with all PixeLINK cameras, Prometheus and Hyperion cameras can be combined with the acclaimed PixeLINK Software Developer’s Kit (SDK) to streamline and simplify the integration of the camera into machine vision applications.
