LEARN MORE

As one of the world's largest automotive parts manufacturers, DENSO has been a pioneer and industry leader in robot design and manufacturing since the 1960s. DENSO is also the world's largest user of small assembly robots, with more than 16,000 DENSO robots employed in its own manufacturing facilities globally. More than 60,000 additional DENSO robots are used by other companies, giving DENSO by far the largest market share in the small assembly robot segment. DENSO offers a wide range of compact, high-speed, 4-axis SCARA and 5- and 6-axis articulated robots for payloads up to 20 kg, with reaches from 350 to 1,300 mm and repeatability to within ±0.015 mm. Standard, dust- and mistproof (IP 65), dust- and waterproof (IP 67), cleanroom (ISO 3 and ISO 5) and aseptic models are available. Easy-to-use programming software, controllers, and teaching pendants are also offered. ANSI and CE compliance enables global deployment. UL-listed models are available for both the US and Canada.

New Higher Payload Capacity for DENSO XR-Series Compact Gantry Robots

POSTED 03/11/2010

rong>Allows Wider Range of Applications

DENSO announced that it has increased the payload capacity of its XR-Series four-axis, compact gantry robots from 3 kg to 5 kg. The new 5-kg capacity, which represents an increase of over 60 percent, allows the robots to handle a significantly wider range of applications.DENSO XR-Series compact gantry robot

The XR-Series robots feature a ceiling-mounted, flexible SCARA robot combined with a long-stroke Cartesian robot. As a result of their highly efficient, integrated design, the XR-Series robots use up to 40 percent less floor space than conventional SCARAs. In addition, they can operate in many applications without the need of a conveyor, saving up to 20 percent in capital-equipment costs.

The high-speed, high-precision robots have a reach of 200 mm to 300 mm and an x-axis stroke of 850 mm to 1,660 mm, with a cycle time of 0.53 seconds and repeatability of ±0.015 mm. Typical applications include assembly, dispensing, material handling and parts feeding.

DENSO is the world’s largest user of small assembly robots, with more than 17,000 DENSO robots designed and used in its own manufacturing facilities. More than 42,000 DENSO robots are used in other companies. DENSO Robotics offers a complete line of robots, controllers and software covering a wide range of applications.
