New Aerial and Surveillance Camera Line

Vista, Ca. – Vieworks, Seoul, South Korea (www.vieworks.com), a leading manufacturer of high performance 12-bit digital cameras, announces the availability of the VX series of digital cameras. The VX series uses the latest CCD technology from Truesense Imaging (formerly Eastman Kodak Company, Image Sensors Solutions) and has features that make taking Photographic Quality images simple and easy. The VX-29MC uses the 29-million pixel (6,575 x 4,383) image sensor. Camera features such as: Automatic Exposure, Automatic Gain, and Automatic IRIS (optional lens control mount) make taking Photographic Quality images a snap.

Many Aerial and Surveillance applications use multiple cameras together to achieve the required Field-of-View or scene resolution. These cameras are triggered and read (images) simultaneously. The VX Gigabit Ethernet (Gige Vision) camera interface provides many new features to manage the high network bandwidth when using multiple cameras. Camera features such as multiple image frame buffer allows the use of IEEE 802.3x Pause Frame control that allows the receiving device (switch) to stop the sending device (camera) until it is ready. The camera's large adjustable packet delay is another tool for managing image data from multiple cameras on a gigabit Ethernet network.

Another important feature of the VX camera is it’s extended operating temperature range for working in harsh environments. The VX camera at -40 degrees to +60 degrees Celsius sets a new standard. Finally, the precision alignment of the lens mount to the image plane ensures that captured images can easily be stitched together without edge boundary errors. The new VX-29MC brings Aerial and Surveillance customers features and performance that allows them to take Photographic Quality images with an easy-to-use camera.
