Sonoma County's Westcoast Solar Energy wins bid to install 205 Kilowatt solar array

Sonoma County based Westcoast Solar Energy has entered into agreement with nationally recognized connector company, Multi-Contact USA, to install a 205 Kilowatt solar system at the company's new operations and production unit on the Town Green in Windsor, California.

According to Westcoast Solar President, Nate Gulbransen, "This is a significant project for us in many ways. Multi-Contact USA is a leading provider of solar components used with the manufacture of a variety of solar panels throughout the world. For them to choose our company over the competing solar providers is a testimony to the quality of our installation techniques and practices."

Multi-Contact USA will relocate to their new U.S. headquarters in Windsor by the end of Ql, 2011. The solar installation project will provide the company nearly 100% of their electricity needs and is expected to be completed in early 2011. Once completed, the new solar array will consist of more than 840 SolarWorld™ panels, produeing 305,000 kilowatt hours of clean electricity per year. In the future, excess power will be redirected to the utility grid and could also be used to fuel electric vehicle charging stations. "Multi-Contact USA is excited to have a location where we can showcase our solar products as well as support the green initiative of the region," says executive manager Ceebee Thompson.

In addition to the sale of solar connectors and specialized soIar junction boxes, Multi-Contact also provides custom solutions for electrical applications for power distribution, automation and energy systems.
