Matrox Imaging Releases Mid-Range Imaging Computer

POSTED 03/10/2020

Matrox Supersight Uno provides necessary power and expansion for demanding machine vision applications, at a lower price point

Matrox® Imaging announces the launch of the Matrox Supersight Uno, an expandable mid-range industrial PC (IPC) in the established Matrox Supersight series of vision controllers.

With seven PCIe® slots accepting full-height, full-length cards, Matrox Supersight Uno offers maximal I/O capabilities plus direct interfacing with GigE Vision® and USB3 Vision® cameras.

IPC for machine vision applications
The seven third-generation PCIe expansion slots in the Matrox Supersight Uno support the full range of expansion cards from one to 16 lanes. Supported expansion cards include Matrox Imaging frame grabbers—offering comprehensive support for standard camera and video interfaces such as Camera Link®, CoaXPress®, DisplayPort, HDMI, and
SDI—and third-party boards including high-end graphics cards.

An integrated motherboard delivers all the connectivity of the Matrox Supersight Solo, but at a lower price point. Enhanced system reliability and maintenance comes via quick-release, hot-swappable drive bays with RAID support. Moreover, this vision controller easily powers multiple expansion boards—all without compromising system performance—thanks to its robust 600 W power supply.

Rugged construction a match for any installation
With a durable steel construction and 4U rack-mount chassis, the Matrox Supersight Uno supports both horizontal and vertical mounting. Moreover, the vision controller shares exact dimensions with the Matrox Supersight Solo, thus facilitating substitution. A powerful cooling system ensures consistent performance.

Dependable software environments
Matrox Supersight Uno comes pre-installed with Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 and Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) software. The Microsoft environment provides the familiarity, performance, reliability, and multi-language support of Windows 10, while MIL offers a comprehensive range of vision development tools backed by a 25-year history of reliable performance.

“The Matrox Supersight Uno is ideally suited for intensive image capture and processing tasks. With this iteration, we now offer a product with the same footprint and dimensions as the Matrox Supersight Solo, giving a space-compatible alternative with a more cost-optimized feature set,” says Fabio Perelli, product manager. “Coupled with the suite of tools afforded by MIL software, and the long-term availability of this platform, the Matrox Supersight Uno delivers a powerful mid-range vision controller that will help developers deliver complete solutions while balancing price/performance requirements.”

Availability
The Matrox Supersight Uno will be available in Q1 2020.
