Lenze - Lenze L-force engineering and Global Drive Control (GDC) tools software upgrades
POSTED 07/18/2012
Lenze Americas, a leading global manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives, motion control and automation technology, recently released an upgraded version of its industry leading planning and design software for Windows 7 operating systems. Designed to work seamlessly with today’s PC configurations, Lenze L-force engineering and Global Drive Control (GDC) tools are fully compatible with 32-bit and newer 64-bit operating systems.
“Increasingly, today’s new PCs are equipped with 64-bit operating systems to provide users with greater capacity than 3GB RAM. However, the benefits are limited if the necessary engineering tools are not designed for the higher 64-bit capacity,” states Otmar Fössing, product manager, engineering tools, Lenze. “A familiar problem for our customers in the field of electrical engineering and plant maintenance, Lenze has addressed this issue with an update to our entire project engineering software.”
Lenze drive and automation technologies are used in a wide variety of industries including materials handling, packaging industry, robotics and automotive. Automation solutions with integrated software and system engineering enable mechanical engineers and machine operators to increase efficiency and productivity. Quick and reliable project commissioning requires efficient engineering software. This latest project planning and design software upgrade from Lenze eliminates problems when upgrading to 64-bit computers.
Clearly structured and easy to use, the Lenze GDC tool provides a menu of programming functions for operation, parameter setting, and drive task diagnostics. Designed to provide convenience and speed in drive design and programming, Lenze L-force engineering software enables all drive and automation tasks in a machine process or an entire plant to be managed from a central project navigation system.
