Kick-Off for Series Production of Basler Lenses

Basler developed its Original Equipment line to match the precise specification of its cameras, ensuring harmony between the components. The lenses will be produced exclusively for Basler and be available only from Basler.

The Basler Lenses are engineered for sensors smaller than 1/2" and optimized for use with Basler ace and dart cameras. The high 5 MP resolution allows for razor-sharp images. Basler Lenses are optimally suited for current Machine Vision applications and offer an extraordinary price/performance ratio, starting at just € 99.

Users can choose one of the Basler Lenses with image circle dimensions to match the size of the camera sensor, ensuring top performance with the latest sensor technology and strong synergy between camera and lens. In practical terms, Basler's customers will receive stronger performance from their cameras, all at an outstanding price/performance ratio.

Basler has updated its Lens Selector mechanism to make it easier than ever for users to find the right lens for their Basler area scan cameras. The Lens Selector is built around an industrial-grade set of calculations, but from the user standpoint it is remarkably simple: Visitors to can enter the pertinent data for their application (such as necessary angle of view, working distance, object size, etc.). The Lens Selector then calculates the necessary focal length and proposes suitable lenses for the size and resolution of the sensor.
