POSTED 11/05/2013
East Providence, RI – In the packaging industry or on food production lines, wherever smooth-running conveyor systems with freedom from lubrication are necessary, durable knife edge rollers from igus® help transfer goods precisely onto following conveyors. Made from high-performance tribo-optimized plastics

Tom Miller, manager for iglide® plastic bearings says the line expansion is due to customer demand. “We really had a big push from customers for more sizes in the line,” he explained. “That’s really where our motivation came from.”
Under the “Motion Plastics” motto, igus offers a wide variety of products and solutions that drive, control, and move. The East Providence, RI based company has now extended its range of knife edge rollers with 14 new variants in length and diameter for applications in the field of conveyor technology. Various tested materials prove suitable for a wide range of applications, including the standard iglide® P210, which besides being extremely wear resistant, is also characterized by low humidity consumption. Other materials available for rollers are extremely temperature resistant, like the iglide A350, suitable at temperatures up to 356ºF, or the iglide A180, deemed FDA approved for direct food contact.
