Electromate Introduces Netzer DS-90 Electric Encoder
The DS family consists of a wide range of hollow shaft encoders, starting at 25mm OD, and a very low profile of 7 to 10mm. The DS encoders measure absolute position with 12-bit to more than 20-bit resolution and 0.001º accuracy, over a wide temperature range of -55 to 125ºC. The interface of all DS family encoders is SIN/COSIN. This state-of-the-art technology offers many features, some unparalleled.
Netzer's Rotary Electric Encoders are based on our proprietary non-contact capacitive sensing technology. It is highly tolerant to contamination, humidity, shock and vibrations. It is tolerant to eccentricity and axial misalignments and therefore does not require bearings.
The absence of ball bearings, glass disc, light sources and detectors, and low power consumption leave the Rotary Electric Encoder with virtually no failure mechanisms. It is ideally suited to a wide range of applications, among them aerospace, military & defense, automotive, medical and robotic applications.
Also available for the DS Series is the MIC-01 Multi-Interface Converter which provides conversion of the original analog Sine / Cosine electric angle to wide variety of common outputs as absolute mechanical position. The MIC provides conversion to standard industrial feedbacks as AqB & SSI, set up interface is available via USB based on Netzer Communication protocol (NCP).
