Durable TOUGH GUN™ ThruArm™ G1 Series Robotic MIG Guns Improve Performance, Minimize Downtime

The TOUGH GUN™ ThruArm™ G1 Series Robotic MIG Guns from Tregaskiss offer improved performance and reliability with durable features that help prevent production downtime and shield components from harsh welding environments. The guns also provide 500 amps of welding capability.

Featuring the durable Low-Stress Robotic (LSR) Unicable, TOUGH GUN ThruArm G1 Series Robotic MIG Guns are designed specifically for today’s through-arm style robots, while also providing the same reliability and precision as users have come to expect from the original TOUGH GUN G1 Series Robotic Air-Cooled MIG Guns for conventional robot styles.

The LSR Unicable — a technology exclusive to Tregaskiss — incorporates a rotating power connection that allows for stress-free rotation, as well as a protective conduit to better shield the cable components from abuse. These features limit the influence of torsion and extend the usable life of the unicable. LSR Unicables are so durable that Tregaskiss guarantees them with a two-year limited warranty.

TOUGH GUN ThruArm G1 Series Robotic MIG Guns also feature two precision-engineered keyway systems for accurate alignment and quick replacement. The guns are available as a complete package — from the power pin to the contact tip — for clutch and solid-mount robotic systems, including those by Motoman®, FANUC®, ABB®, KUKA®, OTC Daihen® and Panasonic®.

Additional options such as Air Blast and Wire Brake are available for select models, as well as TOUGH GUN I.C.E.™ Technology, which boosts the duty cycle of the guns by providing water-cooled benefits through the I.C.E. (Integrated Cooling Enhancer) component.

The TOUGH LOCK™ Consumables used with the guns help maximize production and minimize downtime through improved performance and reliability. Manufactured with a dual tapered design, these consumables lock from contact tip to neck to increase heat dissipation, and keep them running cooler and lasting longer.

The TOUGH GUN ThruArm G1 Series Robotic MIG Guns are also compatible with QUICK LOAD™ Liners, which require less than half the time and effort to replace (compared to conventional liners). Or for a revolutionary combination, users can upgrade to the QUICK LOAD Liner AutoLength™ System, which is designed to minimize downtime and wire feeding and quality issues commonly associated with short liner length. Housed inside the power pin, the spring-loaded module applies constant forward pressure on the liner, keeping it seated properly in the retaining head. The system also allows for up to 1-inch forgiveness if the liner is too short and accommodates liner movement during welding.
