DENSO Announces New, Faster Version of b-CAP Control Protocol

POSTED 07/27/2011

LON
G BEACH, Calif. — DENSO announced a new version of its b-CAP binary control access protocol option. The protocol enables users to control a DENSO robot by means of a device such as a PC, PLC, vision system or smartphone, without the need to learn a robot programming language, thus reducing development time and cost.

The new b-CAP version incorporates a server mode that makes communication between the robot and the control device even faster.

"This new version of b-CAP makes it easier than ever for our customers to control their DENSO robots using devices such as PCs and PLCs, which have familiar interfaces and common programming languages." said Peter Cavallo, robotics sales manager, DENSO Sales California. "That saves them time and money."
