Computar Releases Short Wave IR (SWIR) Lens Series

Commack, NY – Computar announced they have released a line of SWIR (Short Wave Infrared) lenses. SWIR lenses are specifically designed for Machine Vision applications in NIR and SWIR. The lenses are designed for high-resolution with low-distortion and offers Megapixel clarity in hyperspectral applications.
The shortwave infrared (SWIR) wavelength band is rich in potential for solving imaging challenges in measurement, inspection, and process-monitoring tasks. “The Computar SWIR lenses are optimized for SWIR (short wave infrared) cameras and applications and are ideal for capturing the vivid and measurable contrast of the monitored objects’ characteristics,” stated Terry Sekiya, Marketing and Sales Manager, Computar Optics Group.
