Computar Releases Short Wave IR (SWIR) Lens Series

POSTED 07/07/2015

Commack, NY –  Computar announced they have released a line of SWIR (Short Wave Infrared) lenses.  SWIR lenses are specifically designed for Machine Vision applications in NIR and SWIR.  The lenses are designed for high-resolution with low-distortion and offers Megapixel clarity in hyperspectral applications.

The shortwave infrared (SWIR) wavelength band is rich in potential for solving imaging challenges in measurement, inspection, and process-monitoring tasks. “The Computar SWIR lenses are optimized for SWIR (short wave infrared) cameras and applications and are ideal for capturing the vivid and measurable contrast of the monitored objects’ characteristics,”  stated Terry Sekiya, Marketing and Sales Manager, Computar Optics Group.

Computar’s SWIR lenses are the industry’s most compact form factor and are engineered for optimal performance.  Their unique coating technology delivers high transmission from 800nm-1,700nm and are available in 16mm, 25mm, 35mm and 50mm focal lengths. For more information, go to our online product selector or computar.com/swir to see the complete line.
