Computar Introduces 12 Megapixel Lens Series
POSTED 02/15/2017
The MPY Series supports 1.1” sensor format at 12 Megapixel resolution in a C-mount lens. The MPY Series combines high performance optics with a variety of common focal lengths for maximum application flexibility.
Cary, NC - Computar®, the leading lens manufacturer operated by CBC Group, has launched a new family of larger format, C-mount, fixed focal length lenses. The MPY Series is a 12 Megapixel lens that supports pixel sizes down to 3.45µm. Available in focal lengths of 8, 12, 16, 25, 35 and 50mm, The MPY Series is positioned to be the preferred solution for machine vision and ITS multi-lane surveillance applications.
“The popular Sony IMX253 and IMX255 sensors has been adopted by a wide variety of camera manufacturers due to its sensitivity and precise imaging for fast-moving objects. The MPY Series is a perfect match for the 1.1”, 12 Megapixel sensors with its 3.45µm pixels,” according to industry veteran Pete Kepf, Business Development Executive for Computar Lenses. “In addition to their quality optics, the MPY Series is distinguished by its small and compact design as well as the flexible selection of focal lengths.”
