Association for Advancing Automation President Key Panelist at The State of Robotics Innovation in America

Jeff Burnstein Presenting: How Robotics is Making Our Lives Better

ANN ARBOR, MI –  Jeff Burnstein, president of the Association for Advancing Automation (A3), will take part in an expert panel discussion during “The State of Robotics Innovation in America: A Key Driver of Productivity and Competitiveness” on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Washington, D.C.

During his presentation, Burnstein will explain how professional service robots are making life better in multiple ways.  Highlights include:

  • performing tasks humans don’t want to do or shouldn’t be doing
  • improving health through drug discovery and more effective surgeries
  • filling jobs where there is a shortage of interested workers

The event is hosted by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) from 10 a.m. to noon EST in the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2168, 45 Independence AVE SW, Washington, D.C. 20515.

Other panelist speakers include: Eric Krotkov, Chief Science Officer, Toyota Research Institute; Collin Sebastian, Head of Software Products and Engineering, SoftBank Robotics America (SBRA); Stuart Shepherd, Regional Sales Director – Americas, Universal Robots; David Vasko, Director of Advanced Technology, Rockwell Automation.  The panel will be moderated by Robert D. Atkinson, President, ITIF, and will also feature speaker Mike Doyle, U.S. Congress Representative (PA-18).

They will be presenting on the current state and future potential of robotics across all sectors of the U.S. economy, and will be joined by “Pepper” from Softbank, a humanoid robot who will meet and interact with attendees.
