Adimec Exhibits Latest Full HD Rugged Daylight Cameras for Full Motion Video at the DSEI 2013

rong>Ruggedized, high-resolution daylight HD cameras for mission critical situations in global security

EINDHOVEN, the Netherlands – Adimec, a world leader in application-specific, leading-edge cots camera solutions, will showcase its portfolio of vision products and technology aimed at the global security market at the 2013 edition of the DSEI event in London, held September 10th through the 13th.  The company will display and discuss enhancements to its latest TMX-DHD series of full HD electro-optical sensor modules to provide full motion daylight video. The cameras increase the detection, recognition, and identification performance of UAVs, security and long range observation systems while meeting the minimal size, weight, power, and cost requirements.

Adimec has expanded the TMX-DHD series, a rugged and versatile line of full HD-daylight cameras capable of up to 60 frames per second (fps) performance. In addition to the remote sensor head design (TMX6-DHD), cuboid outline (TMX7-DHD) and board-level (TMX7-DHD BLC) options are included in the series for integration in airborne payloads, mobile ground observation and other sensor system architectures.  For alternate optical formats, 1/2” sensor versions (TMX8-DHD and TMX9-DHD) are available and will be demonstrated at the exhibition.  These cameras are optimized for life-time extension and upgrade programs (standard definition to full HD) with various standard communication interfaces including HD-SDI, HD-SDI + analog and options for integrated zoom optics.  Adimec’s rugged cameras offer extremely low failure rates, extended life-time, and comprehensive obsolescence management for long-term programs.

The TMX-DHD series incorporates an automatic shutter and gain control capability and features the company’s unique video enhancement module (VEM), which eliminates the effects of hazy atmosphere due to fog, sunlight, or shade scattering.  This high sensitivity (NIR sensitivity) capability extends the operational range with superior performance under all lighting conditions.

Other key characteristics of the cameras include a rugged design (MIL-STD-810G qualified) for extreme outdoor conditions; operating capabilities in a wide range of temperatures (-40? to +71?); light weight, compact and remote head design; and low power consumption. They are available in monochrome or color versions, which utilize Adimec proprietary color processing technology for unprecedented quality and clarity in real-time, in changing outdoor conditions.

Adimec will be in the Holland Pavilion (Booth Number S8-285) on the exhibition floor.
