Adimec demonstrates color processing, Active Sensor Control and Other Imaging Innovations at ITE 2013
POSTED 12/03/2013
High-resolution cameras with automated processing for accurate image quality over the entire field of view
Adimec, a world leader in application-specific, leading-edge industrial camera solutions, will showcase its portfolio of machine vision products and technology at the International Technical Exhibition (ITE) in Yokohama, Japan 4-6 December. The company will introduce and demonstrate additions to its latest CMOS-based QUARTZ and SAPPHIRE camera series and CCD-based OPAL and TMX series including:
- The Adimec SAPPHIRE S-25A45/CXP and S-25A30/CL, 25 Megapixel camera running up to 45 fps over CoaXPress or 30 fps over Camera Link with Active Sensor Control
- The new QUARTZ Q-12A65, 12 Megapixel camera acquiring images up to 66 fps
- The new additions to the OPAL series including the OP-4070/CL, a 4 Megapixel camera with 70 dB dynamic range based on the new Truesense Imaging 7.4 micron interline transfer CCD image sensors
- The new Ruggedized TMX6-DHD Full HD camera with True Color processing for harsh outdoor applications
The SAPPHIRE S-25A45/CXP and the S-25A30/CL are members of the CMOS-based SAPPHIRE series, utilizing the ON Semiconductor’s VITA 25k image sensor. The S-25A45/CXP is a 25 megapixel CMOS global shutter camera and delivers images of 5120 x 5120 pixels at 45 frames per second (fps). The dual CoaXPress interface of the S-25A45/CXP camera supports the CXP-6 configuration of the standard. The CoaXPress interface offers extra speed and cable length and can simplify integration with power also available over the coax cable. The S-25A30/CL is offered with the Camera Link interface to provide an easy upgrade solution.
Adimec developed the SAPPHIRE series camera platform especially for OEMs of metrology and inspection equipment who require consistent, uniform images at high speeds. The accurate image uniformity is maintained by the new Active Sensor Control feature included on all SAPPHIRE cameras. Active Sensor Control is an automated way in the camera to correct for various deviating pixel conditions in the image sensor, such as fixed pattern noise (FPN), photo response non-uniformity (PRNU), shading, among others.
The QUARTZ Q-12A65
The Q-12A65 is the latest addition to our QUARTZ series utilizing CMOSIS image sensors, offering 12 Megapixels images at 66 fps. Using a proprietary camera design for effective flat field correction and other image enhancements for linear behavior and reliable performance, the Q-12A65 offers CCD-like images. This has finally made it possible to effectively use CMOS sensor technology in electronic manufacturing systems, like semiconductor package inspection, PCB inspection and LED inspection. It is equipped with a Camera Link deca interface but also supports full configurations.
The OPAL Series includes the latest image sensors from Truesense Imaging with 70 dB dynamic range
The OPAL-4070 is one of the latest members of the OPAL series and is based on the new Truesense Imaging 7.4 micron interline transfer CCD image sensors. These cameras offer exceptional image uniformity and linear behavior over the full temperature range as with all of the members of the OPAL family. The larger pixel size of the image sensor enables gains in light sensitivity, dynamic range, smear rejection, and blooming suppression for applications with difficult image capture conditions or precise image quality requirements.
The TMX6-DHD with True Color Processing
The TMX6-DHD series are rugged Full HD outdoor cameras and are available in 30 and 60 fps versions, both with up to full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) or XSGA (1600 x 1200). They are based on a 2/3” interline CCD image sensor and have available Camera Link, HD-SDI or ‘HD-SDI + analog’ interfaces (others on request). Color versions are available, which utilize Adimec proprietary color processing technology for unprecedented quality and clarity in real-time-changing outdoor environments. These rugged cameras are optimized for use in a variety of global security systems that require optimal detection, recognition and identification capabilities.
The TMX6-DHD series features Adimec’s unique image enhancement module (VEM) that eliminates the effects of a hazy atmosphere due to fog, sunlight or shade scattering. This high sensitivity (NIR sensitivity) capability extends the operational range of the cameras from dawn until dusk.
Adimec will be in Booth 40 on the exhibition floor with demonstrations of these innovations and more.
