Bernd Raithel is director of Product Management and Marketing for the Factory Automation business unit of Siemens Industry in the US. Raithel has an engineering degree (Dipl-Ing(FH)) from the TU Nürnberg (Germany) and has 26 years of experience in automation in various roles in R&D, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing. Before moving to the USA, he has been with Siemens for more than 17 years, defining the next-generation automation systems and expanding Siemens' Industrial PC portfolio to the IoT space. In the US, he focuses on integrating new technologies such as Edge and AI in Siemens Automation portfolio and solutions to help customers improve their production even further.

Tom previously spent three years as the Director of Robotics at Kindred. He was responsible for architecting both the robotic software and hardware systems and growing the cross-functional teams that delivered them. Tom has 12 years of robotics experience in both industry and academia, including founding his own startup and developing high-end robotic vision systems for space and defense. Tom holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from the University of Guelph in Canada.

David L. Dechow is VP of Outreach and Vision Technology with Landing AI. He is an experienced engineer, programmer, and entrepreneur specializing in the integration of machine vision, robotics, and other automation technologies, with an extensive career in the industry. He was the founder, owner, and principal engineer for two successful vision systems integration firms. Prior to joining Landing AI he was Principal Vision Systems Architect with Integro Technologies, responsible for application evaluation and design of complex automated imaging solutions for inspection, metrology, and robotic guidance. Previously, he had served as Staff Engineer for Intelligent Robotics/Machine Vision at FANUC America Corporation. Mr. Dechow is a recipient of the A3 Automated Imaging Achievement Award honoring industry leaders for outstanding career contributions in industrial and/or scientific imaging. He is a member of the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) Imaging Technology Strategy Board, is a contributing editor with Vision Systems Design magazine, and is a technical advisory board member with Saccade Vision Ltd. As a key educator within the machine vision industry, Mr. Dechow has participated in the training of hundreds of engineers as an instructor with the A3 Certified Vision Professional program. He also is well known for his frequent informative technical articles, papers, webinars, and conference sessions and classes covering a wide range of technical topics involving machine vision and enabling technologies in industrial automation.

Paul is responsible for business development and implementation of Robotic Automation Systems and ROBODRILL machine tools for automotive OEMs, tier suppliers, and general industry customers.

With over 35 years’ experience in the automation industry, he provides leadership related to systems for part processing, assembly, machine tending, inspection, and material handling utilizing Robotics, Machine Vision, Force Sensing, CNC, and Collaborative technologies.

Paul has been active with the A3 R15.06 Robot Safety Standard committee since 2002 and the A3 R15.08 Industrial Mobile Robot Standard committee since its inception. He serves as a member of the A3-OSHA-NIOSH Alliance Team, the U.S. Technical Advisory Committee to ISO TC299 for global Robot Safety Standards, and the A3 Technology Strategy Board for AI.

Paul also serves on Wayne State University’s Industrial Advisory Board for the Collaborative Robotics Learning Program.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University with focus on robotics and manufacturing technology.

Dr. Kel Guerin has been working in the robotics space for almost 15 years, focusing on the design and usability of a wide variety of robots, including systems for space exploration, deep mining, surgery and industrial manufacturing. While obtaining his PhD from Johns Hopkins University, Kel worked specifically on the challenge of making industrial robots more flexible and easy to use. The result was the award winning Forge Operating System and easy-to-use programming interface for industrial robots. Kel spun out his technology into READY Robotics, an industrial robotics start-up he co-founded in 2016. His work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and READY's products have been called "the Swiss Army knife of robots" by Inc.magazine.

Prior to joining NVIDIA, Gerard was at Cadence where he was Product Marketing Director, responsible for product planning, marketing, and business development for licensable processor IP. He holds an MS in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Danny Lange is Senior Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Unity where he leads the company’s initiatives in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence. Prior to his role at Unity, Danny was the head of Machine Learning at Uber where he led the development of the company’s Machine Learning platform. Previously, he was General Manager for Machine Learning at Amazon where he managed Amazon’s internal Machine Learning platform as well as launched the first AI product for Amazon Web Services (AWS) known as Amazon Machine Learning. Danny has also lead Machine Learning efforts at Microsoft and started his career building autonomous agents as a Computer Scientist at IBM Research.

Anatoli has over 20 years of experience developing massively parallel software for neural computation, he is a pioneer in applying general-purpose computing on graphics processing units to neural modeling. Anatoli has spoken at every major neural network conference as well as at GTC, DARPA, The National Institute for Aerospace and a keynote at the Embedded Systems Conference. He holds several patents, has authored over 30 publications on neural networks, and advises Fortune 500 companies on how to use AI to improve operational efficiencies. He has a PhD in Cognitive and Neural Systems, Boston University; an MS in Computer Science. The highest he has been is 3122m above sea level and the lowest is 30m below sea level.
