Gideon Brothers raises $31 million Series A to expand its portfolio of AI & 3D Vision Autonomous Mobile Robots

Gideon Brothers announced it had raised a $31 million Series A investment to accelerate the development and commercialization of its AI & 3D vision-based autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The company will also expand its Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success operations across key markets of the European Union and the United States by opening offices in Munich, Germany, and Boston, Massachusetts, respectively. 

The Series A round was led by Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT), the venture and growth arm of Koch Industries, Inc., with participation from DB Schenker, Prologis Ventures, and Rite-Hite.  The round also includes participation from several Gideon Brothers' existing shareholders, who are among the first backers of the Company: Taavet Hinrikus (co-founder of TransferWise), Pentland Ventures, Peaksjah, HCVC (Hardware Club), Ivan Topcic, Nenad Bakic, and Luca Ascani. In addition, the company will expand its Board of Directors with two seasoned industry leaders:  Annant Patel, Director, KDT, and Xavier Garijo, Member of the Board of Management for Contract Logistics, DB Schenker.
